Retail Foodservice Sales Rose Strong 0.9% In January, Census Bureau Also Revised Up December And November

Retail sales at what the Census Bureau terms “food services and drinking places,” surged 0.9% in January, according to CB’s “advance” report of “Sales for Retail & Food Services,” released Feb. 14. Sales were estimated at $98.6 billion on a seasonally adjusted basis in January, up from December’s upwardly revised sales volume of $97.7 billion….
