MEIKO USA, the Lavergne, Tenn., division of the Offenberg, Germany-headquartered warewashing equipment company, has promoted Kate McDevitt to vp of sales. McDevitt has been at MEIKO since 2016 in a number of sales roles, including national foodservice sales manager and national account manager. Polar King, the Ft. Wayne, Ind.-based make of outdoor walk-in refrigerators and freezers, has named Ryan Gonzalez as a project engineer. In his new role, Gonzalez will spearhead computer-aided design (CAD) initiatives to support the company’s continued innovation in cold storage solutions.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan to our research and development team,” says Dave Schenkel, president of Polar King. “His expertise in CAD will be instrumental in designing superior equipment for our nationwide customer base.”
Gonzalez joins Polar King after spending the past three years with Strick Trailers as a design engineer. Before that, he was an intern at the company and was a machine operator at Eaton’s. His hands-on work experience gives him a well-rounded perspective on manufacturing and product engineering, Schenkel says. From a company release.
