Sardar Biglari, CEO of Biglari Holdings and owner of Steak ‘n Shake, is offering potential owner-operators one of its 401 company owned units for a franchise fee of just $10,000. The idea is to convert the predominantly company-owned chain into a franchise one. The owner-operator will share profits 50-50 with the chain and must take a six-month training course. The deal is similar to that offered by Chick-fil-A.
